ABOUT THE EVENT

What is the Twister Big Game?

Twister Big Game is one of Texas’s most action-packed scenario paintball events, bringing a tornado-themed showdown to TXR Paintball. Expect a fast-paced format, nonstop missions, and storm-themed objectives designed to keep players engaged from start to finish. 

 

When and where is the event held?

The game takes place at TXR Paintball, 15550 Grant Rd, Cypress, TX 77429 - a full-scale outdoor field built for immersive scenario gaming. 

 

HOW IT WORKS

What’s the theme/story of the event?

The Twister Big Game centers around the Mission: Storm Front scenario, a tornado-themed paintball experience with purpose-built maps, storm-inspired missions, and dynamic gameplay that keeps teams fighting from beginning to end. 

How is the game structured?

Play includes:

  • Segmented missions with rotating objectives

  • Storm-themed challenges and team strategies

  • Exclusive prizes and event-only rewards (patches, gear, etc.)

  • Epic final battle to close out the game day 

There’s also night play, hyperball games, and other specialty formats as part of the experience. 

Can I walk on or join without registering?

Yes - walk-ons are welcome on event days, meaning you can show up Saturday and Sunday and play. 

REGISTRATION & PACKAGES

What are the registration options?

Typical options include:

  • Operation: Stormfront Registration Only

  • Operation: Stormfront Registration + 1 Case of Paintballs

  • Glowball Jersey & Event Shirts

  • First Strike rounds and event patches available for purchase 

Are extras like shirts and patches worth it?

Yes - registered players get access to event-specific extras such as glowball jerseys, mission patches, and other collectibles tied directly to the theme. 

WHO CAN PLAY

Do I need a team to participate?

No - you do not need to come with a team. The event supports players both with teams and individually. 

Who can play?

Scenario games like Twister are open to a wide range of players. Generally, participants must be 10 years or older, and all experience levels - from beginner to advanced - are welcome. 

 

GAME DAY DETAILS

What should I bring?

Suggested items:

  • Paintball gear (marker, mask, etc.)

  • Extra socks, water, snacks, and clothing layers

  • Camping gear if you plan to stay Friday or Saturday nights

    (note: camping is often first-come, first-served) 

Is food available?

Food options may be available on site or players can bring their own provisions - check back as vendor details are updated closer to the event.

TRAVEL & ACCOMMODATIONS

Where should I stay?

For those traveling in, nearby hotels and camp spots around Cypress, TX are your best options. Early reservations are recommended during event weekends.

Is there camping?

Yes - many players camp on site during the event weekend. Bring appropriate gear and check field rules for specifics. 

WEATHER & EVENT DECISIONS

Is Twister Big Game rain or shine?

Scenario events typically proceed regardless of weather, but player safety is paramount. In rare cases (such as hazardous travel conditions), events may be rescheduled.

🌀 RESCHEDULE UPDATE (IMPORTANT)

Is the event still happening this weekend?

No - the Twister Big Game originally scheduled for late January has been rescheduled in the interest of safety.

Why was the event rescheduled?

After closely monitoring conditions - including a City of Houston shutdown announcement for severe winter weather - the decision was made to reschedule to ensure safe travel for players, especially those coming from across Texas.

This call was made responsibly with full information, not prematurely. Safety remains our top priority.

New Event Dates

February 21–22 2026

Will my registration still be valid?

Yes! All existing registrations will be honored in full for the new dates.

What if I already booked travel for the original date?

Please contact your airline, hotel, or travel provider directly. Many offer weather-related change waivers - but we cannot reimburse third-party travel expenses.

Can I get a refund?

Since the event is being rescheduled (not canceled), standard refunds are not available. If you are unable to attend the new dates, please contact us after the event for case-by-case consideration.

Will the gameplay change with the new date?

No - the same epic Twister experience, missions, terrain, and storm-themed action will be delivered as originally designed.
